FOR CHARITY

Two Saturdays ago, Aunty Zara invited us to attend a charity event at Dewan Millenium, and when we got there, we were greeted by a scary monster.

You bet I was spooked! Momma thought I would have enjoyed this little show, but I clung to her like a koala bear throughout the ordeal.

Momma, to tell you the truth, I've no problems with shrieking pontianaks and long nailed ghouls shown on tv, but dancing lions with creepy eyelashes would give me nightmares later.

We quickly got inside the hall, and lucky me, I got treats to cheer me up, leftovers from the goody bags intended for the guests of honours - the OKUs (yup, Momma taught me this term) and orphaned kids.

Aunty Zara was the ad hoc emcee! Next to her is her aunty who organized the whole show.

The guests. We didn't get a table, but it was fine coz Momma was busy running around taking photos of the event, and I was busy walking around anyway.

Right after the speeches by dignitaries and the launch, there was a special segment where a 2 volunteers shaved their heads bald to raise money.

And after that, we were treated with lots more dancing shows, but I can tolerate ballet.

The ballerinas were so pretty!

More dancing! Anybody who wanted to shake their booties were welcomed to. The stage was full of dancing kids and adults alike, gyrating to the tune of uptempo Mandarin songs!

I danced with this kakak too

And from nowhere, this abang swooped me up and paraded me in front of the stage as if I was lion princess! Oh, the irony.

At the end of the day, I was pooped. It was a joyful occasion and I was very happy to be part of it. Thanks for inviting us, Aunty Zara!
